This course teaches 50’s Rock n’ Roll, Jitterbug, and East Coast Swing.
These versatile and fun social dances suit a variety of music from Big Band Swing and 50’s Rock n’ Roll, through Blues and some of the current popular music.
Characterized by lots of spins, turns and an interesting variety of dynamic moves, these partner dances will allow you to look great on the dance floor and to have more fun at social events. Both the dances and the music are infectious and you will be itching to get up and dance once the music starts playing.
In the class you will learn how to dance in sync with a partner, how to lead/follow, the basic footwork, timing and styling of 50’s Rock n’ Roll and Swing; as well as a variety of popular moves and sequences.
You don’t need any dance experience or a partner to take part in this beginners’ course which will teach you the fundamentals needed to enjoy these popular dances.
