Making A Photographic Book
The intention of this course is to produce a photographic book. Students will shoot a project or use an existing body of work, learn about editing, sequencing and design, and have the book printed. We will focus on creating a narrative both conceptually and visually to achieve an object of high quality that tells a story. Recommended working knowledge of Lightroom or Photoshop.
In this class we will get you up and running with Lightroom. We’ll walk you through getting your images organized and “imported” into Lightroom. We’ll also teach you efficient systems for managing your image collection, evaluating and sorting your keepers, and backing up your images. There are so many time saving techniques, keyboard shortcuts, and powerful presets to share with you.
From color correction and grading through advanced HDR techniques, this course is ideal for those looking to sell their photography online or in print. We will spend most evenings learning how to push and pull sliders, bend curves, and use localized adjustments to really polish your pictures.
